Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Middle Middle, LLC (“OrderWell,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise process personal information when you access or use the OrderWell mobile application, website, software, content, features, subscriptions and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
A note on our architecture. OrderWell is designed so that the information you provide is processed and stored on your device rather than on our servers. There is no account system, no advertising SDK and no cross-app tracking in the app. Most of the personal information described below never leaves your phone unless you make a purchase — in which case the app store and our subscription-management provider (Superwall) process the transaction and related product-interaction analytics — or you share a restaurant link, in which case the link is sent to our menu-reader service to fetch the menu.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The information involved in your use of OrderWell depends on which features you use.
A. Information you provide (stored on your device)
- Goal and profile information, such as the nutrition goal you select (calorie target, protein minimum, carbohydrate or sodium limits), dietary preferences and eating-style choices.
- Preferences and exclusions, such as favourite chains, disliked ingredients and allergen exclusions you set.
- Usage state on-device, such as recent orders, saved items, onboarding progress and app settings.
This information is stored locally on your device using the operating system’s standard app storage. It is not transmitted to our servers.
B. Location information
If you grant location permission, your device’s approximate or precise location is used on-device to find nearby restaurant locations, compute distances and label your area. Location is processed locally and is not uploaded to us. You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings; the app then falls back to a default reference location.
C. Purchase and subscription information
If you purchase an OrderWell Plus subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple’s App Store through your Apple ID. We use Superwall, Inc. as our subscription-management provider; Superwall may receive a pseudonymous app user ID, device and platform information, the product purchased, purchase-event confirmations and product-interaction events (such as paywall views) needed to operate entitlements, paywalls and subscription analytics. This information is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not receive or store your payment card number, billing address or Apple ID credentials.
D. Communications
If you contact us (for example by email), we receive the contents of your message and your contact details and use them to respond.
E. Restaurant links you share
When you share or paste a restaurant link (for example from DoorDash or Uber Eats), the link — and, where needed to find the right listing, the restaurant name and your selected market — is sent to our menu-reader service to fetch that restaurant's menu. The returned menu items and nutrition figures are ranked on your device. Sharing a link is optional; the app's built-in chain catalog works entirely on-device.
F. Website visitors
If you visit our marketing pages, standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by the hosting provider. We do not run advertising trackers on these pages.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain and personalise the Services — ranking orders against your goal, applying your preferences and exclusions, and remembering your state (on-device);
- process and manage subscriptions and entitlements (via the app store and Superwall);
- respond to your communications and provide support;
- maintain the security and integrity of the Services;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service; and
- develop and improve the Services using aggregated or de-identified information where applicable.
3. Sources of Nutrition Data and Artificial Intelligence
Nutrition figures in the app come from restaurants' own published nutrition guides and the Nutritionix database; where a restaurant publishes nothing, our systems may estimate ranges from the menu itself using AI models (OpenAI). Estimated figures are always shown as ranges and labelled as estimates in the app — they are not official restaurant nutrition facts.
OrderWell's rankings are computed on your device from your goal and preferences. Where conversational, coaching or menu-reading features are offered, AI systems (OpenAI) may be used to read menus, estimate values or phrase results; estimates produced this way are labelled as estimates and never presented as restaurant-published figures. If a future feature sends text you type to an AI provider for processing, we will identify that feature in the app and in an update to this policy before doing so.
4. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- Service providers. To vendors that perform services for us — principally Apple (payment processing) and Superwall (subscription management) — under their respective terms and privacy policies.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, legal process or government request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, restaurants or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your direction. When you ask us to share information — for example when you tap through to a restaurant’s ordering page or a delivery service, your interaction with that third party is governed by their policies.
5. Sale, Sharing and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The Services contain no advertising networks.
6. Sensitive Personal Information
Goals, dietary preferences and allergen exclusions can be considered sensitive information. In OrderWell this data is stored only on your device and is used solely to provide the features you requested — it is not transmitted to us, sold or used for advertising. You can erase it at any time via the in-app data-erase control or by deleting the app.
7. Data Retention
Because profile data lives on your device, it persists until you erase it in the app or delete the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple and Superwall as required for entitlement management, tax and accounting. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain records.
8. Data Security
On-device data is protected by your device’s operating-system sandboxing. No system is perfectly secure, but the on-device design means most of your information is not held by us to be breached. Purchase-related processing is performed by Apple and Superwall under their security programmes.
9. Your Choices
- On-device data. Erase all profile and preference data at any time using the app’s erase-data control in Settings, or by deleting the app.
- Location. Enable or revoke location permission in your device settings at any time.
- Subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
- Communications. Opt out of non-essential communications by following the instructions in the message or contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Because most data never reaches our servers, exercising these rights usually means using the in-app controls above; for anything else, contact us at ethan@middlemiddlellc.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
10. Regional Privacy Rights
- California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA. California residents may have rights to know, delete and correct; contact us to exercise them.
- UK and EEA (UK GDPR/GDPR). Where these laws apply, our processing bases are: performance of a contract (providing the Services), legitimate interests (operating and improving the Services) and consent (location permission, which you can withdraw). You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
- Canada and Australia. Local privacy laws may provide similar rights; contact us to exercise them.
11. Third-Party Services and Content
The Services link to restaurant ordering pages and delivery providers (for example DoorDash, Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Menulog or SkipTheDishes). Your interactions with those services — including any orders you place — are governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours. Restaurant trademarks and menu information belong to their respective owners.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because personal data is stored on-device and not transmitted to us, we have no means of collecting children’s information through the app. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International Users
OrderWell is operated from the United States and serves users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Because profile data stays on your device, the main cross-border transfer is purchase processing through Apple and Superwall, which operate internationally under their own safeguards.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes — particularly any change that would involve collecting data off your device — we will provide notice through the Services before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
15. Relationship to the Terms of Service
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Terms of Service. In case of conflict regarding privacy practices, this Privacy Policy controls.
